Privacy Policy
Effective July 4, 2026 · The Better Travelers, LLC (“we”, “us”)
This policy covers the atisalerts.com website and the ATIS Alerts Telegram bot. Short version: the website uses standard analytics; the bot stores only what it needs to send you the alerts you asked for; we do not sell personal information.
What the website collects
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type). Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies. We do not run advertising networks, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
If you submit a score to one of our game leaderboards (the F-22 Landing Challenge Game or the F-18 Carrier Landing Challenge), we store the three initials you enter, your score and landing details, an approximate city derived from your IP address (shown publicly next to your score, e.g. “Knoxville, TN”), a random game identifier kept in your browser, and a salted one-way hash of your network address used only for abuse prevention — no account and no other personal information.
What the Telegram bot stores
When you use the bot, we store your Telegram chat ID, the airports you track, your alert settings (for example personal weather minimums and quiet hours), and your subscription status. We use this solely to deliver the alerts you configure. We do not see your Telegram password, phone contacts, or other chats. Payments for Premium are processed by Telegram (Telegram Stars) — we never receive card or bank details.
Retention and deletion
Bot data is kept while your account is active. Send /stop to the bot or email us to have your chat ID and settings deleted. Website analytics are retained per Google Analytics defaults (14 months).
Third parties we rely on
The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase for data storage. Weather and airspace data come from US government and public sources (NOAA, FAA, OurAirports) — requests for map tiles and radar imagery are made by your browser directly to those providers (CARTO/OpenStreetMap, NOAA, Iowa Environmental Mesonet), which may see your IP address as with any web resource.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Email support@atisalerts.com and we will handle your request. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Questions? See Contact.
