Affiliate Disclosure
Effective September 12, 2026
Some links on ATIS Alerts earn us a commission when you book or buy through them, at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly which ones, who pays us, and the line we will not cross.
Where affiliate links appear
There are two places. If you book through either one, the booking site pays us a share of its commission, and you pay the same price you would pay going to that site directly.
Staying over, on airport pages. Some airport pages carry a section called Staying over, placed after the current conditions and pilot readout. It holds two tools:
- Nearby Pilot Hotel Deals, a hotel map powered by Stay22, which pulls live rates from booking partners including Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. The map is filtered to well reviewed places under $500 a night, so it does not show every hotel near an airport.
- Crew Rental Car Deals, a rental car search from DiscoverCars.com that compares rental companies at or near the airport. It appears only at airports where DiscoverCars.com has a matching pickup location, so many airport pages have hotels but no rental cars.
Active FAA delays. On our ground delay program and ground stop pages, an airport that has an active program may show a rental car link to DiscoverCars.com, for travelers whose flight is held and who would rather drive. These links appear only while the FAA reports the program, and only for airports DiscoverCars.com covers.
Prices, availability, photos and reviews in all of these come from those partners, not from us, and we do not control them. If we add other affiliate relationships, they will be listed here and disclosed on the page where they appear.
What we will not do
No affiliate relationship influences the aviation data on this site. Weather, METARs, TAFs, flight categories, runway crosswind calculations, FAA delay information, TFRs and every alert the Telegram bot sends are produced from official and public sources, documented on the About page. Nobody can pay to change what those say, to be ranked higher, or to be presented as safer or more favorable than the data supports.
Affiliate content is also kept separate from the information you came for. On airport pages, the Staying over section always comes after the current conditions and pilot readout, sits in its own clearly labeled section, and never appears inside the weather data or changes it.
Who receives the commission
ATIS Alerts is operated by ME3 Social Media, Inc. DBA ATIS Alerts, which holds the affiliate accounts and receives any commission earned.
Your privacy
The hotel map is loaded from Stay22 and the rental car search from DiscoverCars.com, and each sets its own cookies. Following a booking link hands you off to that partner under their own privacy policy and terms. We do not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect.
A reminder about flight decisions
ATIS Alerts is not for operational use and is not a substitute for an official preflight briefing. That is true of every part of this site, including the pages that carry affiliate links. See our Terms of Service.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you think a link is not disclosed properly, tell us on the Contact page. We would rather fix it than have you wonder.
