Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on ATIS Alerts earn us a commission when you book or buy through them, at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly which ones, who pays us, and the line we will not cross.
Where affiliate links appear
Affiliate links appear only around FAA delays, where a traveler may actually need a room, a car or a different flight. If you book through one of them, the booking site pays us a share of its commission, and you pay the same price you would pay going to that site directly. Airport weather pages, runway pages, RC field pages and our tools carry no affiliate links.
Active FAA delays. On the FAA delay board and the per-airport delay pages, an airport with a significant active disruption may show a Travel options block: a hotel map powered by Stay22 (live rates from booking partners including Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo, filtered to well reviewed places), a rental car link to DiscoverCars.com, an alternate flight search link to Aviasales and, where we have a partner for it, airport parking. These appear only while the FAA reports the disruption, only when our severity model rates it high or severe (a short departure delay never shows them), always below the FAA data and the operational links, and only for airports the partner actually covers. The ground stop and ground delay program guides also show hotel and rental car links beside each airport currently under a ground stop or delay program.
Flight compensation.During the same high or severe disruptions, a per-airport delay page also shows a clearly labeled box linking to AirHelp, a service that files compensation claims for badly delayed or cancelled flights. If you file a claim through that link, we may earn a commission from AirHelp's fee. Aviasales and AirHelp links are provided through the Travelpayouts affiliate network, and a Travelpayouts script on the site may turn plain links to some travel brands into affiliate links.
The FAA information, airport weather, delay history and official source links on those pages are never affiliate links.
Prices, availability, photos and reviews in all of these come from those partners, not from us, and we do not control them. If we add other affiliate relationships, they will be listed here and disclosed on the page where they appear.
What we will not do
No affiliate relationship influences the aviation data on this site. Weather, METARs, TAFs, flight categories, runway crosswind calculations, FAA delay information, TFRs and every alert the Telegram bot sends are produced from official and public sources, documented on the About page. Nobody can pay to change what those say, to be ranked higher, or to be presented as safer or more favorable than the data supports.
Affiliate content is also kept separate from the information you came for: it sits in its own clearly labeled section, always after the FAA data, and never appears inside the weather or delay data or changes it.
Who receives the commission
ATIS Alerts is operated by ME3 Social Media, Inc. DBA ATIS Alerts, which holds the affiliate accounts and receives any commission earned.
Advertising
Some pages show, or may show, display ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are labeled “Advertisement”, are never placed inside weather, airspace or FAA data, and advertisers have no say over what the site publishes. Our Privacy Policy explains the cookies Google uses and how to opt out of personalized ads.
Your privacy
The hotel map is loaded from Stay22 and the rental car search from DiscoverCars.com, and each sets its own cookies. Following a booking link hands you off to that partner under their own privacy policy and terms. We do not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect.

ATIS Alerts is not for operational use and is not a substitute for an official preflight briefing. That is true of every part of this site, including the pages that carry affiliate links. See our Terms of Service.
